The Curriculum

The curriculum at St Joseph's is divided into the following Key Learnig Areas (KLAs):

Religious Education
English
Mathematics
Science
Technological and Applied Studies
Creative Arts
Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
Human Society and its Environment
Languages

Students in Years 7 and 8 at St Joseph's will study courses that derive from these KLAs:

Religion
English
Mathematics
Design and Technology (which includes context areas such as Agriculture, Fashion, Food, Digital Media Software, Jewellery, the Environment, Lanscape, Information Systems and Communications), History, Geography, Art, Music, Drama, Personal Development,.Health and Physical Education, Sport, Italian and Indonesian.

These subjects are distributed across two weeks with periods of 52 minutes duration.

The school offers a broad curriculum allowing for an extensive array of elective courses which students can choose from in Years 9 and 10 and later in Years 11 and 12.
